Nasal Irrigation is a procedure that uses a saline solution to cleanse the nasal passages. Physicians have been recommending nasal saline irrigation since ancient times. Nasal irrigation can be used for allergy relief, sinus infection, sinusitis, snoring, post nasal drip and sinus pain. Original himalayan Crystal Salt is perfect for cleaning your sinuses.

"The Neti pot has revolutionized my practice. In the United States, sinus problems are the number one reason people see a doctor. That was true with my practice too. But since I've been recommending the Neti pot, I don't think I have one person who is using it and still having chronic sinus problems. The Neti hails from India where certain Hindu sects use it to irrigate their nasal passages in preparation for their meditations. The doctors practicing there rarely saw people with sinus complaints and wondered why. They looked and saw people using the Neti. Some experts on health consider nasal irrigation a basic health-maintenance activity equal to flossing your teeth or loufa-ing your skin. It's really catching on. In fact, even conventional Ear, Nose and Throat specialists are beginning to recommend it. But they say things like, "Snort salt water." How efficient is that? I've heard of people using bicycle water bottles, and Water Pic makes an attachment for nasal irrigation, but these both use pressure and can inflate your sinuses like a water balloon. Neti is the gentlest, safest, most efficient way I've found of delivering a good cleansing dose of saline to the nose."
So, how does it work? A soothing, gentle stream of salt water, the same concentration as tears, flows through your nose, washing away pollens, viruses, mucus and bacteria. It is useful for anyone with nasal congestion, hay fever or chronic sinus infections. I've not seen it straighten a septum, but it helps alleviate problems associated with this condition. We keep one around and use it at the first sign of colds or sore throats. Often it helps nip them in the bud. Many people with allergies use it daily as a preventative. It comes with simple, clear directions, and most people get fairly accustomed to the procedure during their first time. Many of my patients come back and swear by their Netis. They are so happy to be free of their sinus headaches or the need to take course after course of antibiotics. If you're one of those "frequent players" in the health care game, I suggest you give the Neti a try and revolutionize your doctor's practice.
